September is honored as National Recovery Month. While the disease of addiction holds so much negativity and pain for many individuals and families, we want to honor this month with hope and encouragement. We believe this month, in particular, is the time to recognize those who have fought hard for their lives, their happiness, and their health; those who have just begun their journeys to recovery, those who have been on the path for many years, and those who are ready to make a change to regain their lives. We also want to extend our love and support to the families of addiction, those who have stood by loved ones through the darkest times, those who waited by the phone through all hours of the night, those who cried, pleaded, prayed and worked for healing; those who have seen recovery first-hand, and those who are still waiting. We believe this month is the perfect time to offer an extra word of inspiration and encouragement.
