LGBTQIA+ Treatment Provider
Vertava Health is an inclusive and affirming provider.
The LGBTQ+ community faces many unique hardships and struggle with behavioral health conditions at a higher rate than the rest of the population. Finding an LGBTQ+ treatment center that is friendly, supportive, and meets the specific needs of someone in this community can be challenging. At Vertava Health, we want to put your mind at ease.
LGBTQ+ Treatment Provider
We understand the challenges men, women, transgender, and nonbinary individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community endure and are sensitive to these struggles. As a supportive LGBTQ+ treatment provider, we offer trauma-informed care, provide inclusive services, employ culturally competent team members, and allows individuals to select programming and groups based on their self-identified needs. Our goal is to ensure that our facilities are a supportive and welcoming place for everyone.
LGBTQ+ Substance Abuse Treatment
Substance abuse in the LGBTQ+ community is a major problem. At Vertava Health, treatment plans are developed with the patient and therapist together to address the patient’s goals and needs. For those who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or another part of the LGBTQIA+ community, their treatment plans will incorporate the specific needs and challenges that are often prevalent in the LGBTQ+ community. These individualized treatment plans help ensure that patients feel accepted and support their journey to ongoing recovery.
We understand that a major concern for LGBTQ+ residential treatment is appropriate housing. We have supportive transgender treatment centers, and we are LGBTQ+ rehab providers with accommodation options that allow individuals to house with their self-identified gender. We also have private room options that may be available at one of our LGBTQ+ rehab providers if desired and offer virtual addiction care in some states.
Our therapists are culturally competent and trained to treat the needs of the LGBTQ+ population including those related to sexual orientation, sexual identity, as well as gender, and sexual expression.
LGBTQ+ Treatment Programs
At our locations with gender-specific groups, individuals can join the group of their identified gender so they are most comfortable. We also offer focused, small group programming including in some cases, groups for LGBTQIAP+ individuals and allies. These groups can help LGBTQ+ patients connect with others in the LGBTQ+ and recovery community.
Addiction can negatively impact the entire family, but members of the LGBTQ+ community may already have strained relationships with their loved ones because of their identity. Rather than focusing solely on addiction, our family therapy will touch on these topics as well as how to move forward together in recovery.
Mental Health Support in Recovery
Because the LGBTQ+ community faces several unique struggles, their substance use is often directly tied to their mental health. To find lasting recovery, patients need to explore these underlying issues. We offer co-occurring disorder treatment programs that focus on common mental health concerns prevalent in the LGBTQ+ community to aid in this process of self-discovery.
LGBTQ+ Mental Health Services
Mental health in the LGBTQ+ community is an important area of concern and LGBTQ+ mental health resources can sometimes be lacking. At Vertava Health, our LGBTQ+ treatment programs focus on helping patients find lasting relief from their mental health conditions while celebrating who they are.
Experienced Team Members
Our therapists have experience working with individuals in the LGTBQ+ community and are trained to handle the unique mental health needs of this population. everyone heal.
Not only can transgender patients join the gender-specific group of their identified gender but also our facilities offer groups tailored to specific topics that are relevant for our patients. With enough need, there could be a group dedicated to LGBTQIA+ individuals and their unique struggles.
Individuals in the LGBTQ+ community may have a tense and contentious relationship with their families. In addition to our regular LGBTQ+ mental health care programming, we can also hold group therapy sessions for the patient and their families to explore these relationships further and help everyone heal.
