The Bluffs Invites the Public to “Fired Up for Recovery” Grand Opening Celebration
SHERRODSVILLE, Ohio (September 26, 2017) – The Bluffs, a new 80-acre property with a state-of-the-art clinical environment featuring all levels of innovative addiction treatment therapy, is inviting the public to their Grand Opening celebration “Fired Up for Recovery” to take place Wednesday, September 27 at 5:30pm EST.
The campus has completed its first phase of hiring, received its certificate of occupancy and taken its first round of admissions.
The celebration is free and open to the public, and Vertava Health invites Carroll County and surrounding communities to come meet its new staff and enjoy not only the food and fun, but also several dynamic speakers. Those wanting to attend the event can RSVP to [email protected]
“We couldn’t be happier with this project and how it’s moving along,” says Vertava Health CEO Brent Clements. “Attorney General Mike DeWine recently said in an interview that about 50% of the kids in foster care within the state are there because one or both parents battle addictions. We can’t start repairing lives and families fast enough. Ohio needs us, and we are answering that call.”
The new campus will hold up to 150 clients engaged in therapeutic models designed to heal the mind, body and spirit. It will specialize in implementing a high level of balance in clients: from social and spiritual to economic factors.
“Nearly 500 people, just in the state of Ohio, died of an opioid overdose in 2005. In 2015 that number was over three thousand,” says Vertava Health CMO Eric Mitchell. “At least 4,149 Ohioans died from unintentional drug overdoses in 2016. Ohio can’t wait. That’s why we want to begin serving the people of Carroll County, the state of Ohio and the entire country as soon as possible.”
The campus will bring over 200 jobs to the area, including a full medical staff. Local contractors Benchmark Construction, headquartered just 20 minutes from the new campus, supervised the renovations.
The event will host a hog roast, yard games, live entertainment and more throughout the evening, ending at 8:30pm EST. The schedule of events is as follows:
- Facility Tours: 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. & 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.
- Speakers: 6:30 – 7:00 p.m.
- Fireworks Display: 8:15 p.m.
